Welcome to DOSIRAK, a little corner of Korea in Malmö.
DOSIRAK is a small Korean restaurant founded by Seungwee, a Korean writer who has made Sweden her home.
I have published four books on Swedish history, culture, everyday life, and other social issues. I have also written a regular column for a Korean newspaper, sharing my experiences and observations of life in Sweden.
In 2020, I began a new chapter in my life by opening DOSIRAK, bringing a little taste of Korea to Malmö.
Writing and cooking may seem like two very different things, but to me, they have something in common. Both are ways of sharing stories, cultures, and experiences with others.
At DOSIRAK, we serve Korean home-style food, prepared with care and a love for the flavours I grew up with.
Over the years, many of our customers have become familiar faces, and some have become dear friends. Through food and everyday conversations, DOSIRAK has become a place where I can share a little of Korean culture while continuing to learn about life in Sweden.
DOSIRAK is a small place, but I hope it offers more than just a good meal — a warm welcome, a little cultural exchange, and a moment of happiness in everyday life.
Thank you for being part of our story.
